Salvation

What is salvation?  The deepest need of every person is to establish a life-changing relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ .  The following scriptures explain how to do so.

1.  Recognize that you have sinned.

 Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

2.  Understand that sin brings death.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

3.  Believe that Christ died for you.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

4.  Believe that Jesus offers you life.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not  perish but have everlasting life

5.  Call upon Jesus to save you.

Romans 10:13 For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

 Romans 10:9-10  That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
